Our Story
For 129 years, we have lived out our faith in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Our story is one of resilience, hope, and grace—shaped by our Japanese American heritage, enriched by the diversity of generations and cultures among us, and guided by the unchanging love of Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs
God’s Love is for All People
We believe in a God who created all people in God’s image—diverse in culture, language, and experience, yet united in love. Our congregation reflects this truth, as we celebrate our Japanese American roots while embracing the richness of a multicultural and multigenerational church family.
Jesus Christ is the Heart of Our Faith
We follow Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we receive grace, forgiveness, and the promise of new life. His teachings call us to justice, compassion, and service.
